THE FISH ARE STILL ALIVE
On December 2016 the State Government and Victorian Fisheries put 7000 Barramundi warm-water game fish in Hazelwood Pondage.
On 22 June, the entire boat ramps and recreational foreshores were fenced off. Nobody was allowed. State Government and ENGIE electricity company are poo.
Without any consideration for people or the fish, ENGIE started draining the Pondage.
Already the bugger’s had dropped the water below 15 degrees. Poor fish.
The remaining barramundi are schooling to the southeast corner of the Pondage banks.
With assistance of State Government, ENGIE in now ready to bulldoze the entire Hazelwood power station, chimneys, and Pondage. HRL Energy Brix are destroying Morwell Power Station.
Wiping out everything will give the region and Gippsland people no chance of regeneration. We need Bernie Briquette’s flag for the heritage and regeneration height.
He is back since 1976 Yallourn’s town destruction. He has with a kayak on top of his Mazda SUV, rod and reel, tackle and hardbody lures. Bernie’s keen to catch the barramundi.
We want live fish and regeneration for the Latrobe Valley, not dead fish, an empty pondage and bulldozed heritage.
